Long time friend Tim White and I fished Woods this week for largemouth but instead ran into a pack of white bass (47 total) on one hump-set the spot lock and had a whole lot of fun doubling up multiple times. Nothing works better in my opinion than a Rapala Shad Rap in situations like this. As you can see we didn’t have any monsters but for 2 old guys (78 and 75) and 100 degree heat index we had a great time. Even had a 5lb Channel off the dam wall-slime and all. My grandson is coming back from Florida today and I hope to get him into some of this next week. One thing I learned long ago if what your fishing for isn’t cooperating but another species is you either take advantage of that or load your boat and go home. I’ll take the latter.
