This week Rick Jr. Amanda Ken and I caught several short Smallmouth (over 30) on Tim’s with a couple decent ones mixed in.  If we were in a short fish tournament we would have won. Over the past few trips we caught fish on a White McFerrin Signature Series Swim Jig , Crank Baits and soft plastics on a VMC Weedless Finesse Jig.  Water temp hovered in the 60 range and the lake as of yesterday is approx 7 feet below summer pool and dropping. We are on the verge as far as I’m concerned of winter crankbait season and Rapala has the baits and colors that you need if you love to toss crankbaits.
