Met Billy and Braxton at Tim’s yesterday-David Duval was there as well. Everyone caught Smallmouth but with very few keepers. I had 11 total with 2 keepers. For those of you that are from different states our Smallmouth length is 18 inches. Many of the other 9 that I caught was in the 15 to 17 inch range. VMC Weedless Finesse Jig and soft plastics www.vmchooks.com rigged on Sufix Braid and fluorocarbon leader . With the VIRUS going on I’m not sure how many more trips they will let us make here in Tennessee. I know that many states are shutting things down. Keep praying. I had 9 Smallmouth on Tim’s today with the 3 above being the best. The bite started out great and died after an hour & 1/2 or so-then I struggled more or less until I left. Everything on a 3/16th VMC Weedless Finesse Jig and soft plastic. www.vmchooks.com and Sufix 10lb braid with a Sufix 8lb Fluorocarbon leader. I had great wind today and spent a lot of time throwing a DT6 and X Rap but with little success. I did talk to one man I know that did have a good jerk bait bite on Tim’s today-I obviously was in the wrong place. Thanks for visiting my site. Normandy 3-9-2020 DT 6 Red Craw
Ronnie and I had a good morning on Normandy today. We had 7 total Largemouth & 1 Smallmouth with a 5lb 3oz being the biggest. Water temps are rising slowly and the fish are beginning to transition looking for a place to bed over the next several weeks. Rapala DT6 Red Craw www.rapala.com on 6lb & 8lb test Sufix mono www.sufix.com. If you are looking to get a few more feet of depth on a DT6 try 6lb Sufix mono-you can easily gain at least 2 more feet by that switch alone. The smaller profile of the bait and the distinctive wobble is a winner. It was good to get back out-I’m hoping to get my boat back in the next few days. “IF” the weather allows we are going to Tim’s the end of the week, Thanks for visiting my site Rick McFerrin www.tennesseebassguides.com

Boat Issues 3-9-2020
I have had several text and a couple calls wondering why I haven’t posted new fishing reports. I have been having motor issues for more than 3 weeks. Last week I think we finally figured out what the problem was. If so I should be back in my boat sometime this week. Going to fish with Ronnie today-I will post what we do- Rick

Normandy 2-18-2020
I fished Normandy this morning from 7am until 11am-caught 7 and had 5 keepers pictured above. All on a Rapala DT6 Red Craw www.rapala.com and Sufix 8lb Advance Mono www.sufix.com . I think this is the first time I have been on Normandy and never saw another boat. There was one other truck in the lot. I experienced some motor troubles this morning and had to cut things short. I finally put 3 keeper spots in the boat by 11am met Ronnie transferred them and we took the pictures of him. From 11:30am until 3pm I had 7 more including my bigest. Sufix 8lb Advance mono www.sufix.com Ronnie’s best 5 weighed 13lbs my best 4 weighed 9 1/2 lbs. Love the DT bite. Rick McFerrin www.tennesseebassguides.com

Nick A Jack Below Dam 2-3-2020
I haven’t been below the Nick A Jack Dam for a couple years at least-so I though I would try today. Before I start I need to let you know these are all separate fish-no double pictures. I started out bass fishing and it was very slow-little generation and the water had dropped about a foot and a half. Around 10am I started looking for white bass and found the ones above. I would catch several put them in the well then take them out then take a picture. Then start the process all over again. No need to fill up the live well and take a chance of losing some. I caught 1 Largemouth and 2 Spots on a VMC Weedless Finesse and soft plastics www.vmchooks.com . All the white bass was on a Rapala #5 Shad Rap www.rapala.com. Looks like the weather is going to keep me grounded until Friday . Thanks for visiting my site. Rick McFerrin www.tennesseebassguides.com

Fished Tim’s this morning and ran directly to where I caught fish earlier this week. In a matter of just a few minutes I had 2 of the Smallmouth above and lost one about the same size. I caught 4 short (12-14inch) Smallmouth after that. Everything on a Rappala DT6 Red Craw-I threw a couple other colors including the DT6 Demon a Terminator Spinner Bait and Rapala Jerk Baits with no takers-all on the craw. That’s it for this week we will see what the weather does next week-I will post like I always do the good-the bad- and the ugly—–Thanks for visiting my site.
